BBQ in Charlotte

Everyone knows that North Carolina is known for its BBQ, most would think some of the best comes from the Eastern part of the state.  I am here to tell you that is not necessarily the case.  Some of the best BBQ I have had comes from Charlotte at Midwood Smokehouse.

With many offerings in and around the Charlotte area it can be hard to find the right one that offers the best food.  I know I have tried many so-called BBQ restaurants but once I tried Midwood Smokehouse I cannot eat any others.  They are a local restaurant that produces high quality smoked meats that are fresh, juicy, and full of flavor from the smoker straight to your table.

According to their website Midwood Smokehouse employs a seasoned pit master that oversees the seasoning and smoking of all their products.  The founder has traveled to all the BBQ hot spots such as North Carolina, South Carolina, Texas, Kansas City MO, and Memphis TN to craft Midwood Smokehouse's menu.  They also use a state of the art smoker that does not utilize any gas or electricity to produce smoke or heat, they only use and burn hardwood hickory logs 24 hours 7 days a week to produce the highest quality product possible.

With many different menu options such as their bulk menu to fulfill all of your catering or party needs.  Their main menu is fantastic and one of my favorite is the Brisket Sandwich.  It is made with smoked brisket, midwood sauce, blue cheese crumbles, and smoked red onions on Texas Toast.  The brisket used is some of the best I have ever had and the smoked onions give the sandwich a great smoky taste that melds together with all of the other flavors.

If you are looking for a great BBQ experience you do not have to travel to another state.  All you have to do is go to Charlotte in the Plaza Midwood neighborhood or the newest location in Ballantyne.  This is a fantastic local BBQ restaurant with fresh meats and sides and don't forget to grab your favorite local brew while there with many Charlotte breweries on tap.
