Tucked away in a small shopping center on Charlottetowne Ave. in Charlotte is a hidden gem on the local Chinese food scene. I have been to a few local Chinese restaurants around the area but none compare to the Fortune Cookie. Not only are the prices right but the flavor of their food is off the charts!
No matter what you decide to eat you will not be disappointed with the authentic Chinese flavors in the food. It is a small place so if you are going for lunch go early so you will be able to find parking and a table it is also across from CPCC so when the semester is in full swing it really gets busy. My favorite is the General Tso's Chicken, it is a spicy dish but not overwhelming but also not too sweet like many other places.
This is one of my favorite places to grab a quick lunch. Not only can you get quality food but it is extremely affordable. Most lunch specials you have to choose from ring in under $10 including a drink. It is hard to find that combination of quality and affordability at any restaurant now days.
Below is a picture of my lunch today which sparked the inspiration for my post. Whether for lunch or dinner it is a great local place to eat great Chinese food. Click here for their full website with locations and menu.
